  • your email address;
  • your name, if you choose to provide it;
  • your country of residence, if you choose to provide it;
  • your preferred language for communications;
  • a record of the consent you have given.

Certain technical data necessary for the operation and security of the website may also be processed, such as your IP address or technical server logs.

3. How we use your data

We use this data to:

We will not use your data for purposes that are incompatible with those for which you provided it.

The legal basis for sending you these communications is your consent, which you provide by taking an affirmative action and ticking the corresponding box on the form.

Consent must be freely given, informed, unambiguous and capable of being withdrawn.

You may withdraw your consent at any time.

5. Service providers and recipients of your data

We use Mailchimp, a service provided by The Rocket Science Group LLC, to manage subscriptions and email communications.

Mailchimp may process data in the United States. The company states that it participates in the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, and its Data Processing Addendum also incorporates the Standard Contractual Clauses of the European Commission where applicable.

Our technical providers for hosting, maintenance and operation of the website may also have access to personal data to the extent necessary to provide their services.

We do not sell your personal data.

If you withdraw your consent or request the deletion of your data, we will stop using it to send you communications, without prejudice to any information we may need to retain for the period required to comply with legal obligations or address potential liabilities.

7. Your rights

You may exercise your rights to:

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (Agencia Española de Protección de Datos – AEPD) if you believe that the processing of your personal data does not comply with applicable data protection law.

The AEPD recommends that privacy information clearly explain how individuals can exercise their rights and their right to lodge a complaint with the relevant supervisory authority.

8. Children

Although The Food Clans is also aimed at families and children, the subscription form is not intended for children under the age of 14 to provide their personal data directly without authorisation.

In Spain, where processing is based on consent, children under the age of 14 require the consent of their parents or legal guardians. From the age of 14, they may generally provide their own consent to the processing of their personal data.

9. Security

We apply reasonable measures to protect personal data against unauthorised access, loss, alteration or misuse, and we use service providers that implement appropriate security measures for the services they provide.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when our services, providers or applicable legal requirements change.

The date of the latest update will always appear at the top of this page.
