My Experience during World Food Week at FAO

Hello everyone!
After an incredible week in Rome, I wanted to share my experience during World Food Week at FAO.
On October 15th, I had the opportunity to present The Food Clans to delegates, experts, and people from around the world. The project was very well received, filling me with energy and excitement to keep pushing forward. Hearing such positive feedback reassured me that this project can have a real impact. Here’s the video (with subtitles in English and Spanish) in case you missed it.
One of the most special moments was reuniting with former colleagues from my time working at FAO, 7 years ago. After my presentation, Dr. Juan Prieto, Spain’s Deputy Permanent Representative to FAO, shared some very positive feedback about The Food Clans, and I had the chance to speak with him afterwards.
Some key moments from the week were:
- Positive feedback: I received some comments that will be incredibly useful for improving and expanding the impact of The Food Clans. Knowing that others also see the project’s potential really motivates me.
- World Food Day: Experiencing this day at FAO was a reminder of the importance of continuing the fight for healthier, more sustainable food systems for everyone. The next day, at the Junior World Food Day celebration, I envisioned a future where young people could enjoy this game while learning how to lead healthier lives.
- Interviews and connections: I had the opportunity to give several interviews, which allowed me to share more details about the project. It was a very positive experience connecting with people who are interested in what we do.
- Global-Hub on Indigenous Peoples’ Food Systems: I also had the chance to listen to Indigenous Peoples’ representatives talk about their traditional food systems and the challenges they face. I’m excited to learn more about Indigenous foods and recipes and to explore how The Food Clans can contribute positively in this area.

This week has been an incredible boost of energy for The Food Clans. Now it’s time to work hard to turn all these opportunities into reality. There’s a lot to do, but I’m filled with energy and determination!
Thanks for being there
To everyone who has supported me along this journey, thank you from the bottom of my heart! I’m excited to keep sharing everything that comes next, and if you have any ideas or want to learn more, feel free to reach out.
Let’s keep moving forward!
